Beloved

As you may know, my father-in-law passed away at the end of June. My own dad died almost forty years ago, when I was still at university.

A few days after his funeral, some friends took me on an outing to Dublin, for a change of scene and as a cheering up effort. I bought this little Celtic cross that weekend, as a reminder that although my earthly father was no longer around to care for me, I was still beloved by my Heavenly Father. Over the years that love has kept me and keeps me still, and I am so grateful for it.

I thought that my little cross would be an appropriate blip for MonoMonday 'links'.
