Oh, Nuts!

This cactus wren (I think the first one I've gotten this summer) stabbed and stabbed and stabbed at this peanut shell until the nut inside came out.  Unfortunately, he wasn't able to snack on it as soon as it popped out because his beak got caught in the shell.  I hope you can see part of his schnozzola inside of it.  Don't fret for the bird.  He eventually wriggled out of it by shaking his head and scraping it on the stones.  Gotta love birds.
