Another tiring day

It has been warm and sunny. I took the blip of grasses in the garden, against the sky.

Gosforth daughter brought Ella and Nathaniel for the day as he is on his third day of getting chicken pox spots so they couldn't go out and about in town or meet friends, in case he passed it on. He was in reasonable fettle for woodland play and they made an obstacle course with chairs and cushions in the house.

Daughter went to bed for a couple of hours as he'd been awake crying a lot in the night. Ella and I shelled peas, made pancakes and had lots of fun while grandad pottered with the poorly boy.

However after we'd been to the park in the afternoon he had a proper melt down, sobbing and raging for half an hour. Poor daughter was so upset that he was upset, and in the end just drove them home with him still screaming. Another 2 days before all the spots will be out and he'll feel better.

I hope he'll be in better form for them visiting his other granny in Somerset at the weekend. She doesn't see much of them because of the distance, and it would be nice if she could see them at their most adorable.
