Ramos Pintos

Another day of sight seeing & port tasting. This morning Mr J & I went to the beach & enjoyed the beauty of the Douro river meeting the Atlantic Ocean.

In the afternoon we went to the Ramos Pintos caves and tasted their more 'expert' ports which basically meant that we got to taste a range of 5 different ports from a couple of ruby vintages to 10, 20 & 30 year tawnies.

My favourite was the 20 year tawny...

We also managed to find a vegetarian / vegan restaurant 'Da Terra' which was lovely

I'm going to miss this city but on a positive note we are driving to the Duoro Valley tomorrow, where more ports will be calling 'drink me'
