air-vase

We bought this in the MARTa Herford museum/gallery in Germany last week.  It’s a vase made of perforated paper.  It’s Japanese and the structure is incredibly fine.  It comes flat and can be fashioned into a shape by carefully pulling the edges.

I've tagged this for Abstract Thursday on the grounds that as it's a vase it's supposed to have water in it.  Long shot, I know.
