The Shropshire Bedlams
Warwick backblip 4
This morning quite a few of the performers came in to play our instruments so, while MrM was looking round Warwick, I was treated to a series of mini concerts by some very talented young musicians. And, as
our stall was very conveniently situated very close to the outside stage, I could watch the Morris dancing too. What better way to spend a sunny Saturday afternoon (except, perhaps, dancing...).
There was some absolutely brilliant dancing by, among others, The Shropshire Bedlams and Martha Rhoden's Tuppeny Dish, Great Western Morris, Earlsdon Morris Men, Chinewrde Morris and Belle d'Vain Clog Morris. Also enjoyed watching the Belgian sword dancers whose performance involved a man dressed as a wolf - he must have been absolutely sweltering in his costume!
We finally packed up the stall for the evening just before 10pm and made our way to the beer tent. A wonderful selection of ciders - none of which tasted of anything other than apple!
