Piping in the rain

The men of Coldstream Pipe Band were well prepared for the weather as they marched at the head of the procession (extra) at the Glendale Festival. Most of the planned events went ahead despite the rain, torrential at times.

The children had a great time performing songs from Bugsy Malone, and we danced with them in the rain. Much to MrM's horror, They all changed in to their costumes and applied their make up in our flat, which is very near the 'stage' area. Several of them had feather boas which had started to disintegrate - the flat was festooned with pink, orange and black feathers.

Meanwhile, MrM performed with Mike and Paulette on the music stage as part of '10 minutes of fame'. 

Would have been nice to chill out for the rest of the day and go down to the stage to listen to some of the bands but, alas, it was not to be. Lots to do - this coming week will be a busy one...
