Elvis Costello & The Imposters at the Barrowlands
The past few years have seen Elvis Costello, occasionally with The Imposters, at concert halls in Edinburgh or Glasgow. This year, it was a more traditional music venue. As a result, the set was a bit more vibrant and rocky, even quieter tracks like Shipbuilding and A Good Year For The Roses.
For my very short lunchtime walk earlier in the day, I just went to Dean Cemetery and found this in the wall above some 19th century memorials in the wall near the Water of Leith. Obviously shows a dog being used to hold down an animal to be clubbed, and there is one animal that has already suffered this fate on the right hand side. Not had time to find out more about it yet.
On the way to Glasgow, at Waverley Station, I managed to get a shot of one of the Oor Wullie's Bucket Trail models being shown in Edinburgh this week. Wish I'd have known before they all went to Glasgow. Ah well a trip up to Dundee will have to be planned.
