Museum of Scotland

Rain was forecast for most of the day so we took the wee ones to the museum of Scotland in Edinburgh.  We drove to the outskirts and then took the tram into the city centre.  Although the reintroduction of a tram line has been quite controversial due to costs, we were most impressed by the journey.  Free parking and a hassle free journey into the centre.  On both journeys, into the centre and back out, the tram was full and a recent report stated that the numbers using the tram were more than had been expected, which is good news and it was very reasonably priced - £8.50 return for 2 adults and 2 children.
The wee ones also had a good time at the museum which again was very busy with tourists, who must be delighted with free entry, something that doesn't often happen abroad.
