"LOVE TRUMPS HATE"

Dear Diary,

The final night of the Democratic Convention was as powerful and inspiring as I knew it would be.  When that courageous Muslim father pulled his copy of the constitution out of his pocket and asked Trump, "Have you ever read this?" it brought the house down.  This morning I was shocked to read, although I really shouldn't have been, that the Republicans are calling the conventions theme of togetherness, respect and love the "politics of hate".  Unbelievable.

Hillary's speech was a rallying cry to all true, patriotic Americans that we will never let a narcissistic bully corrupt the moral values held by the vast majority of this country.  It is up to each of us to do whatever we can to get her message of inclusion out and to drown out his message of division and hate.

I went looking for the perfect image for today and found it in the little morning glory vine with its open and welcoming flower and the heart shaped leaf above.  Yes, love does indeed trump hate every single time.  Now the real work begins to assure the democratic ideals of inclusion, fair play and equal opportunity win in November.  The alternative is too horrible to even imagine.
