AOG2016 .......

 ...... first training session for Team Snail.

Because of an injury to Sammy Snail (a broken shell) Cyril has been coerced into entering the High Diving event.

Today he ventured up onto the top board to see what it was all about - looking down, he realised that he is afraid of heights! 
He turned about-shell and slithered snail-like back to the safety of the top of the garden recycling bin.  
He's now begging the team manager to allow him to enter the Snail Slalom event instead.  I don't hold out much hope as there are very few snails qualified for high diving and they need at least one participant. 

We shall see what this week holds for him and the rest of the team - they are all makiing themselves scarce as no-one wants to take part in this event.
