wedged

A short walk around Stock Ghyll falls late morning.  I don't recall having seen this tree/giant log stuck near the top. It may have been washed downstream in the December storms ......... if so, then it's a long time since I did the waterfall circuit. 

It was very dark in the woods but I seem to have caught a bit of light here. This was the last photo from this spot with me taking the attitude of 'I might as well try a slow shutter speed shot although I'm sure it won't work'. It turned out better than I expected. Hand held but supported by the metal railings.
