JUST BE HOT!

The best laid plans! We headed to Stalybridge to do both parks and a picnic.

As we stepped off the train....the heavens opened. AGAIN. We are an optimistic trio. We don't mind a bit of rain but it was a torrent.

So I treated the girls to some new books and nail polish instead. Oh...and huge bars of chocolate.

They were happy. I was happy.

I had a terrible nights sleep last night - went to bed at 1.30am and woke at 4.30am and no amount of podcasts could get me back to sleep. Doesn't happen often but I was bit dazed and confused today until I had a big nap.

The sun did come out eventually - so apres nap we headed to Mossley park for an hour. I sat with my book and the girls played on everything. They both ventured on the monkey bars for the first time and did brilliantly!

E climbed to the top of the rope climbing frame - then shouted to me "I'm just going to take off my denim jacket"

WHAT?? It reminded me of when John Candy takes his coat off while driving in Trains, Planes and Automobiles! No good could come of it.

"DON'T YOU DARE. JUST BE HOT TILL YOU GET DOWN!"

"FFS" (under my breath)
