Cornwall And Proud Of It
Rather than head for the better known holiday spots I decided to take Penny & James to the north coast.
Following a cooked breakfast we set off, weaving our way through traffic queues we headed north east.
First stop Mawgan Porth for a 'Coasta Coffee', unfortunately no parking available meant we continued on thirstily to the Bedruthan Steps National Trust cafe for a coffee.
We then walked to the cliff edge and the steps, although the tide was just past the high point we went down the steps to the waters edge, beautiful, noisy and yet peaceful.
The climb back up was 'taxing' I believe James's pulse rate went from 63 to 121 (so his iwatch told him) but we enjoyed it.
Breathtaking views, warm summer sun, great company made it a great afternoon.
On to Padstow, pasties, scones with cream & jam and coffee before a slow wander round the town.
We then left for Falmouth via Truro Tesco's for an 'American' shopping trip to get Penny's 'necessities'. Down to Customs House Quay and the 'Front' for a couple of beers whilst we waited for Samantha to finish her shift.
Dinner with less beers rounded off the day.
