La Ciotat at Night

Today we got the train to Bandol, just along the coast to meet Sue & Fred our friends from Belgium who own the apartment we used to rent for our holidays. Fred is retired now, so they're spending a lot more time here.

We met at Le Winny for a drink before going to Chez Toche for something to eat. It was lovely to see them again and we had a lot to catch up on as we haven't seen them for two years.

When we got back, we went in the pool and jacuzzi and then went out for a drink. We sat at the same place as last night and watched the sun going down - it's been a very still night and the reflections were great.

One thing that we've noticed while we've been here, is a strong police/army presence. They're doing regular patrols armed with weapons, and after the recent terror attacks it's actually quite reassuring to see!
