Poor wee calf

So it starts again.  Calving.  For another year.  Oh joy! 

We woke this morning to snow very low on the hills around the farm, and with that the cold and wet, plus the odd snow flake falling on the ground at 8am this morning.  Luckily it didn't settle.

We also had a wee surprise - a lovely wee calf, which unfortunately had been born in the horrid conditions that we had overnight.  This afternoon it was sitting in the paddock with its mum, enjoying the wee bit of sun that we had today.

The snow that fell last night was the first real taste of winter that we have had this year.  It's unfortunate that it had to come just on calving.
