Baltic cruise (Day 12 – Bruges)

Sailed in to our final port of call (Zeebrugge, Belgium) just after 9am, and Mrs Lomond and I went in to Bruges for the day.

We went for a boat ride along the canals, which was a really nice way to see some of the town. After a further wander around, and a visit to the Historium museum, we found our way to a lovely little tearoom where we had a fantastic hot chocolate and waffle – both absolutely superb. There was a bit of a rain shower when we came out of the tearoom, but it didn’t last long, and as it’s the first rain we’ve seen since the holiday started we really couldn’t complain.

And then before we headed back to the ship we bought a ridiculous amount of chocolate (and marzipan) - so the post-holiday diet will be delayed by a few days!
