Russet

The sunflowers are doing well.  I think I was encouraged to grow so many  after buying a packet of sunflower seeds for bird food.  I can't remember the price but it must have prompted thoughts about growing our own.

I've planted three types.  Teddy Bear which is small, cuddly and had already been blipped.  Then there is the medium sized 'Russet' which is today's blip.

The third type is 'Russian Giant' which is astonishingly tall.  Way above anything else in the flower bed.  Not sure if it passed the drug test though.
