A century

Not one of our family members (yet) just under 4 years to go for my mother.

We were visiting my mother in law in hospital who is progressing slowly. The lady sitting in her chair opposite was celebrating her 100th birthday. Cards and balloons galore, including the one from Her Majesty.

As we caught up with family news it was nice to see how staff going off/ coming on shift were coming over to the birthday girl- is she a centurion??- to greet her and congratulate her.

A good end to a long day of considering complex matters.
