Dragonfly

There are only three days left to log sightings in the Big Butterfly Count so I decided to return to Branston Water Park (near Burton-on-Trent, alongside the A38) one of the places I had been to in 2011.

Sunny periods and showers was the forecast. I went up there and found a bit of sun but there were not many butterflies around. I saw 3 whites by the canal but no peacocks as I had hoped for.

In evidence were some of the biggest and cheekiest dragonflies I had ever seen. Try this one in the larger version
