Touch and Go!
We've had a smashing day's orienteering on the Moray Firth today at one of my favourite places, Roseisle, basically forested sand dunes along the beach. The juniors had several exercises to do to practice attack points and catching features, simplification, control picking and planning long legs. After all of that and lunch they did an odds and evens relay and some head to head racing before going for a swim.
My blip is of one of the youngsters who joined us from the local club for the training. She has just climbed a steep sand dune to touch the kite and head off across the dune to try and beat her friend who was coming the other way round. We were all impressed with her determination (and speed!) through the day and I think it shows in her face here.
A stop for ice creams in Forres and then back to Lagganlia for dinner and preparation for tomorrow's Sprint Champs.
