S is for Sycamore Gap

Today was the second installment of our Hadrian's Wall activity with the kids. Last Friday we cycled from Arbeia to Segedunum and today we walked the Steel Rigg stretch on the wall. The weather was gorgeous again and another great day was had by all. This shot is of Sycamore Gap, which is undoubtedly blipped on a regular basis by anyone who visits the wall. It was infamously and erroneously featured in the Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves movie as Kevin Costner and Morgan Freeman made their way from the White Cliffs of Dover to Nottingham. Wow, that's some detour! Anyway, here it is again, it's got to be done really.
