Troncones Wave

Ever so often my wife needs a change of scenery, so we either head up or down the coast (there is no other way to drive) to visit a different beach. Today it was north about 40 km to a village called Troncones. It is known as a surfing village, though looking at this wave I'm not certain why. In fact, the in the dozen times we have visited this community I have never yet seen a surfer in the water, only driving around. I am endless fascinated by breaking waves and tend to take way too many photos. Today was no exception, even though I resisted shooting photographs until well after lunch, which we enjoyed at beachside Restaurante Siete Mares with the pounding waves as background music. No wonder I finally had to break down and break out my camera so I could capture these pretty colors.
