More cladding....

No 1 Spinningfields is the last big building being put on Spinningfields by the developer, Allied London. It won't be the tallest building in the city, it's about as tall as the Arndale Tower but it looms impressively over Quay Street.when you walk down it past the Opera House. Allied London are all but done on Spinningfields and are about to move onto the new development around the old Granada Studios campus, called St John's. Just down the street from here there will be a true skyscraper, almost as tall as the Hilton Tower. Hopefully the political and economic troubles we are having at the moment won't derail this project. Allied London do have a reputation for delivering what they promise though.

Back to No 1 Spinningfields. I liked the way the first bit of cladding on the tower's functional superstructure captured the beauty of the sky.
