A stroll

Up at 7:30 and leaving at 8 to try and complete a walk before the sun baked us.
Up the hill opposite the house to the ridge and then follow the ridge before descending a steep valley ending up at the Campsite - with the other incentive to get Tricia out of bed at that hour being the prospect of lunch.
Well-made mule tracks made the ascent and parts of the descent almost a pleasure and a strong breeze kept us cool on the top. The descent was steep and not enjoyed by all parts of my body. Christiane and Tricia here are on the descent.
Probably nine kilometres, five hundred metres of ascent and four hours walking made the lunch welcome and the day was helped by a power nap afterwards before a quick swim in the river.
Appetite almost recovered for supper!
