West Coast
After all our farm jobs had been done this morning, we decided that we would have one last trip away this afternoon before Farmerboy is too busy to leave the farm due to calving. It is usually 6 weeks before he is able to get away for a break for the day.
So we decided that we would head down to the West Coast - Punakaiki to be more exact. Punakaiki is well known for its Pancake Rocks and Blowholes, and is the service centre for the Paparoa National Park - this park contains 30,000 hectares of varied landscape from lush West Coast native rain forest & mountain tops to expansive rugged beaches & coastline. It is just beautiful.
Unfortunately the blowholes weren't co-operating while we were there, so I am unable to get any pictures of the sea water spurting through holes in the Pancake Rocks. This picture shows the layers of the rocks, and the view of the sea beyond the rocks.
I am forever grateful for everyone who viewed, commented, gave me stars and hearts for yesterday's blip of Bradley, our little bull calf. This blip hit spotlight even before I went to bed last night, it had 215 views, 125 stars and 6 hearts. It worked its way up to the first spot on spotlight this morning. I am so chuffed, and humbled that everyone liked my wee calf. Thank you - you are all very kind.
