"Who is my mum........?"

This wee heifer was born at lunch time today, and when we went to check on her this afternoon, she was curled up asleep though the electric fence. All the other cows came over to see what this 'thing' was that was lying in the lush grass. Its 'real' mother was nowhere to be seen in the lineup of cows, but came over to claim her calf when we walked it back under the fence.

This calf belongs to my son C, as it was his pet cow that had the calf. C hasn't named the calf yet, but I'm sure he will be thinking up a good one for this wee cutie!
