Teasel
After a leisurely breakfast we went down to Alnwick to do the weekly shop, with the usual detour to Alnmouth for a walk on the beach with Louie. It was a VERY short walk this week - a fierce wind from the south was whipping up the sand, and poor Louie was sand-blasted!
So after we'd finished shopping, and had been to Carlo's for lunch, we stopped at Branton Lakes on the way home, so Louie could have a proper walk. Very pleasant walking round one of the lakes - quite warm and sheltered from the wind - nibbling wild raspberries and cherries on the way. Lots of teasels by the path.
