Dog after Goose
Went out for a row this morning and came across J, a guy we know from Wise Island and his dog Mijo. This dog loves to swim after the Canada Geese and I’ve been out before and seen J in the boat following along…..no geese was ever gotten to or eaten…. but it’s great exercise for Mijo. So today we see J with one lone Canada geese following his boat, and then the little back and white head of the dog. ( Had to use the iPhone as my sony lens was too big -looking for wildlife) It’s a good decoy he’s trailing and Mijo swims after it!! so cute. He goes near the shore of this other small island so when the dog gets tired he can stand on a rock to rest, and then when he’s REALLY tired and done with the swimming, he stands on a rock and J brings the boat near enough for the Mijo to jump into. I think you can see that it’s raining here!
I’ve put the sequence on flickr.
An extra comment about books read and blip. I get lots of really good ideas for books from other blippers… thanks so much (funny we often have similar tastes. ) Two such lovely books about the good in humanity I’ve recently read are “A thousand Hills to Heaven :Love, Hope and a Restaurant in Rwanda” and A Man Called Ove by (Swedish) Frederich Backman. and then I just read Penmarric by Susan Howatch, a family saga in Cornwall involving the tin mines, on a whim , from an inexpensive site for kindle books -Bookbub, and was delighted to read a description of the mining “man-engine” just days after I had seen this odd huge robot thing on several blips from cornwall, (https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2205003834630079133) All the connections are very fun.
I apologize for being far behind with comments... Too much going on.
