Life on the Good Intent

Big Sky at Bowmore

Sadly our short stay on Islay is nearly over. Yesterday's gale abated about tea time and there was a lovely evening with full moon glistening over the sea.
We were able to pack up the big tent dry which is a huge bonus. Only slightly bent pole on the porch, more expensive tents suffered more damage.
We stopped for a wander round Bowmore and some lunch before we headed to Port Ellen to catch the ferry.
I had many shots of the Islay skies, the huge skies are a feature of the western isles.
This view from the pier over to the Paps of Jura is a nice example.
