Herdwick sheep in Wasdale, Lake District
An eye on the weather forecast and Andrew I headed westwards through the Lakes to St Bees Head. We drove up over the Hardknott Pass down in to Eskdale ( a slight detour to Wasdale Head where I took the sheep) and on to St Bees Head. Fabulous views south down to Selafield and beyond and over to the Isle of Man. On the way back via Cleator, Cleator Moor and Ennerdale, wonderful views to Scotland across the Solway Firth. From the A66 took the road to Tan Hill and down Swaledale and home territory. Fed a hungry cat.
