Inside the Olympic Stadium

We were so lucky to be at the first Olympic Athletics session at London 2012. The atmosphere was amazing and every Brit athlete was cheered to the skies. Our seats were right at the top of the stadium but across the stairs so we had an uninterrupted view of the entire event.

Took so many photographs but with small compact the zoom isn't brilliant so thought I would do this panoramic shot I took before the sport started. A day that will long in my memory and it looks like that i may have witnessed the start of Jessica Ennis' gold medal campaign in the heptahlon. Nice to feel our cheers and claps may have helped to inspire her! Lots more photographs and video that may well be shared on Flickr and elsewhere
