peggy won't thank me for posting this one, but this happens every time! beth decides to amuse herself at peggy's expense, daisy laughs along with her and peg starts crying...one year we'll set off with no one crying!

anyway, we trundled off with a full van and trailer up north to inverness then over to the beautiful west on some pretty hilly roads. round loch carron, stopping in kyle of lochalsh for chips, over the skye bridge and on to skye and windy roads to glenbrittle with the dark presence of the majestic cuillins on one side - like mordor - and the atlantic (via the little minch) on the other. fantastic. just as remote as we like it.

we arrived at about 9.30pm so not much daylight to take it all in. nice campsite though and some friendly american tourists handed us some of their freshly caught and cooked fish into the van as we pulled up to reception. ace to be away!
