The Yank
This is an American built locomotive so it is referred to as "The Yank". It dates from the 1940s when the US Army Corps of Engineers used this engine type around the world. Here it's just crossed the A28 at the bottom of Rolvenden Hill and is waiting next to the mixed rolling stock which is kept there. You can also see, boys and girls, that this is how grey and white clouds are made.
Heading for pizza and Pinot Grigio in front of the Olympics - the cycling and rowing has been awesome and tonight it's Jess Ennis in the heptathlon so plenty to look forward to. Rock this weekend hard mes amigos; we'll not get it again!
