Hôtel de Ville

We took the family into Brussels today and fortunately it was a lovely warm, sunny day.

We visited the Royal Palace which was open to the public free of charge as the royal family are away for a couple of weeks and it was really nice to see - it's like a mini Versailles.

Then amongst other things, we had lunch at the newly opened Hard Rock Cafe. It has to be the prettiest Hard Rock being just off the Grand Place, and we had a table with a view of the Grand Place and the town hall.

Whilst we were there, there was a procession with giants and I got a few photos of them, but I really like this one of the town hall with a few people on the balcony watching the activities. If you look at it LARGE you can see the detail of the building which is amazing.
