US Holiday Day 18

In LA all day
Did the tourist thing , stars in pavements, Hollywood sign, hand and feet prints in concrete etc. After all the time in the wide open spaces the noise and crowds came as a bit of a shock. We went out to West Hollywood for lunch. Finally found somewhere to park in a residential street and was just walking away when we were shouted at by a man with a dog. We expected trouble but no, he just wanted to tell us that we have to park cars in the same direction as the traffic flows. We hadn't and could looked at several hundred dollars of fine. The guy had been caught several times and seemed to make it his goal in life to stop anyone else getting stung. We had a good chat with him and his dog and he told us of a local eating house, Hugo's, with the possibility of celebratory spotting. He also told us of his dog groomers where owners have to wait outside in their cars for their coiffured pooches to be returned. He saw someone in the rear view mirror with headphones on car dancing and singing. He checked with the groomer when his dog was delivered and they confirmed it was Leonardo de Caprio.
Lunch was good (no celebs) and then on to the beaches. They were good, huge and almost empty beaches, nice proms and very interesting (strange?) people. Coffee and people watching for a while then back into LA to tour the stars houses. These were interesting, so over the top but not as nice as mine. Hotel at the airport tonight ready to fly east tomorrow.
Extra shots includes a standard tourist shot and a man that might have been shot for wearing this 40 years ago
