Looking hopeful

Hmmm, the predicted heatwave doesn't seem to have reached Northumberland yet! And it's windy, again.

Home from work to inspect our 'loan' sofas - they're leather, and rather nice! The fabric on the arms of the lovely new British-made sofas we bought last autumn started to show signs of wear after a couple of months. (The previous ones hadn't worn as much in 15 years - they'd just been shredded by Tom, our cat!) So the shop we purchased them from sent out an independent upholstery specialist, who reported back to the manufacturer. In turn, they requested return of the sofas for full inspection. We've no idea what the outcome will be, but full marks to Fenwicks for friendly, efficient customer service - and for loan of sofas in the meantime!

Short walk on the Common again this evening. Lots of female chaffinches flying around hopefully, but not much seed in the feeders.
