Angry Bird

I usually reserve the phrase "angry bird" for the Curve-billed thrashers.  Their bright yellow eyes and signature bill makes them look ticked off at everything all of the time.

However, the straight on stare of this little Verdin wins the title today.  I really like these birds.  Their yellow heads against the grey is very pretty.  If you notice, they have another special marking...a little patch of rufous coloring (a kind of rust color) on the wing.  It makes them special and quite unique.
