Yellow on Yellow

Another Olympic blip. That is to say...I don't want to leave the TV, so I just venture into the backyard.

I took this spider yesterday, and wasn't pleased with the shot. But...he did make me feel better. Just like me in front of the tube...this guy hasn't moved off the same flower for 24 hours. Makes me feel like I'm not the only sluggard around.

A Brit and an American finished 1-2 in the 10,000 meter race. UNHEARD OF!!! First American to medal in the event since 19 and 64.

I also just watched the 20 kilometer walk. The defending gold medalist collapsed a kilometer from the finish. He looked real glassy-eyed. Not good. The Chinese winner finished in about 80 minutes.

We (different friends and I) used to run a lot of 10 kilometer races. I used to think I was pretty fast. This guy WALKS 2 1ok races in a better pace than I used to RUN them in. SHEESH!!

Away from the TV...to go cook supper on the grill. Another solid week to go with the games...then I may get to get away from my backyard picture taking.

Spiders...no matter how pretty...don't like them.
