A Contest of Cornhole
Our day was all about an upcoming wedding...my daughter Julie's wedding. Late November. This is her and her fiancé Benton throwing the bean bags.
They are throwing at a second board like the one behind them. If you throw the bag into the hole, you get 3 points. If you keep it on the board, you get one point. First team to 21 wins. The olde English D on the board is the insignia for our Detroit Tigers baseball team.
We met today for the bridal party, and the parents to get acquainted a little better. It was a very nice day. Good food, good fellowship, good weather.
I put a few more pictures on my FLICKR PAGE. A couple of my grandson, and a cornfield sunset that I waited for.
Be REAL careful...but Google cornhole, and see what you come up with. It is sort of like horseshoes, without the danger of taking the heavy metal horseshoe in the noggin. Our bags are filled with kernels of popcorn.
I can't believe that I actually lost a game today. With my experience at throwing the bags...today was kind of like taking candy from a baby. Pretty easy, with a lot of new throwers. By the end of the afternoon...they were calling me the King of Corn, Tim Targethitter, and my favorite...Don Cornholeone, the Godfather of Cornhole.
I've got just under 4 months to perfect my 4 words..."Her mother and I."
