Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

Empire State Building

Another fabulous day in NYC. We managed to get going a bit earlier and walked to the nearby Center for Book Arts (N and B Indulged me! But we always get good ideas for projects!) and then to Eataly , a new food/restaurant emporium near the Flatiron building on 5th ave. ( I'd put some links but don't know how to do it on this iPad.:-) )
Fabulous fresh lunch (portobellos and peaches for one..) and coffee there. Then off to Greenwich Village to the Barrow St Theater for the play "Tribes.". The idea for the matinee was to be somewhere with AC in the heat of the afternoon! Very interesting play from London. Walked all over the village and the east village where we hit a fine little Italian place for dinner!
So many city photos! So hard to choose. But I think I'll do this evening view of the Empire State Building taken from the corner nearest our apartment on 9th ave. This is for Tatum Empire, whose parents moved from NYC to Seattle not much more than 9 months before she was born! Our son went to college here and lived here many years after that with K so we had many lovely visits. My Dad also grew up in Brooklyn after coming from Sweden at about age 10 so we used to visit relatives too! I'm loving being here! But I understand why New Yorkers leave New York in August!
