Culloden Battlefield
Last night's camp spot had been perfect overlooking a sea loch where we watched common seals with pups watching us from the water (extra). Before we closed the curtains, and owl sat on a fencepost to wish us good night.
Sadly the perfection was marred by me pranging the back of the van as we tried to rejoin the A9.
We arrived at Culloden just as several coachloads of friends-from-across-the-water disembarked so we joined them for the shuffle round the exhibition before being blown round the battlefield. We found the grave of the Atholl Men.
Doon the A9 was uneventful, until we reached the traffic backlog on the M90. Lets not dwell on that, but I think we were all relieved to be back in our own beds again. Another Scottish holiday done.
