A walk down Memory Lane
My great friend C and I had a walk down Memory Lane today when we returned to a favourite place on the East Coast where we used to holiday on a shoestring with our boys. Thirty years ago, the caravan we hired was nothing special and cost us the princely sum of £35 each for the week. My two sons loved it and so did C's son T. The sand, the sea, the walks, the valiant attempts at tennis and then Scrabble and a beer in the evening while the boys slept soundly and the sun set over the sea. They say the best things in life are free, and this was... almost.
