Breakdown in Communications

Came home to a very angry entry phone system today, making some awful noises. Tried to fix it at my end by taking it apart and jamming a piece of plastic between the two pieces of metal which didn't look like they should have been permanently in contact.

Of course it didn't work but everyone else in the building seems to be having trouble with theirs too so hopefully it'll get fixed at some point!
