The Artist's Garden

Day 1 of my painting course and what a beautiful morning to herald the start of my course :-)
After a brief slideshow then a demonstration by Eleanor,our tutor, we headed out for a mornings painting at Rhue.
I found a wonderful vantage point out near the lighthouse affording views out over the sea to the Summer Isles and on my right the mass of Ben Mor Coigach rose up from the surrounding landscape.(see extra)
After our morning painting we headed back to the studio and lunch.
Lunch was eaten Al Fresco in Eleanor's garden,which is a fascinating place to spend some time.
Full of interesting objects collected by Eleanor.
After lunch it was back out to Rhue for some more painting.
Thankfully we had a slight breeze which kept the midges at bay :-)
After our afternoon of painting we headed back to the studio stopping off at The Rhue Gallery to see an exhibition of Eleanor's recent work.
Great way to round off Day 1 of my course.
