Did you ever have one of these?

I volunteered to help at the museum doing some photographing of items from their kitchen exhibition which is being refurbished, cleaned, catalogued etc. Others were numbering, writing up their condition and packing away so it was good team work. With 4 females there was plenty of chatting done and an equal amount of laughing, telling stories and memories of kitchens past. The noise got so bad at one part the lone male who was painting the kitchen came out to see what all the hilarity was about.
I chose this item to blip (with permission) as we had seen a modern version at Kathmandu just the day before.
It isn't in the best condition which shows it was a well used object.
Did you ever have one? Date of this is unknown but looks 1940's?
I took it with the macro lens but it isn't a macro image being about 8 inches in diameter.
