Pempoul Jetty

This jetty was apparently originally part of a major commercial port which seems amazing in view of the shallowness of the water here and the numerous rocks around the area.  

We had a leisurely cycle to find somewhere for lunch followed by an hour or two lying on the beach.  There was also an interesting market in St Pol de Lyon where there was an excellent folk band playing.

It really is lovely here in the fine weather but I suspect that isn't that common in these parts.  It has also gone a lot quieter since the bank holiday yesterday.

We are catching an early ferry back to Plymouth tomorrow.  It's been a great holiday.
