Gruinard Bay
Another lovely summer's day, another beautiful Wester Ross beach, this time where the Inveranvie River flows into Gruinard Bay. We took a walk up the glen to the first waterfall but didn't go too far. It was too hot for a serious saunter so back to the beach which you can see better in my extra photo. A picnic lunch just outside Laide, then off for a drive to Inverasdale and Cove to revisit the Russian Convoy memorial, and enjoy the glorious views from there. Coffee and a fine fancy piece at Inverasdale School, which closed in 2012 and is now being managed as a community building by the Wester Ewe Trust. The trust is pursuing a community asset transfer from Highland Council, so a wee conversation to some of my work connections ensued. Haven't quite got used to this retirement lark yet!
