West is best

The second of the annual agricultural shows took place today. This was one of the exhibits; a 1950s Guernsey beach scene. It has been photographed very badly by me, but hopefully you get the idea. I know everything there is to know about the old Guernsey tomato growing tradition thanks to a very informative pageant. Did you know that in the 1950s Guernsey growers sent an average of 7 billion tomatoes to the UK? Staggering!
