Under the sea....
If you adventure deep into the waters of East Yorkshire you may well come across the rare Katie and the lesser spotted BalletBuddy.... And yes, they are wearing their gym stuff to the aquarium. They don't care.
TheGirl started with some piano practice this morning, after a lie in til nearly 8am. I then took her to holiday gym class. It's looking likely she'll be able to fit in a recreational class before dance on a Saturday, and because she's already been on the waiting list and reached the top of the list, just for a different session, she will be prioritised for the class and given a space ASAP. Balletbuddy arrived to class not long after Katie and they had a great morning. Katie was pleased to have something the coach thought was good when it came to "showing time". She's always loved the bars & it seems that's still the case. The beam came close behind for next favourite spot.
I took both girls back with us, giving them a car picnic on the way. Katie had a fantastic piano lesson. She concentrated so very hard & is working really well. B is thrilled with how she's working at her piano at the moment. Katie went to watch tv with balletbuddy whilst I had my lesson.
After we were done, we headed back to the city and collected Balletbaby and all went to the aquarium. We met a friend there. The girls were all quite taken by the prehistoric creatures. The older girls loved the giant model of the earth, suspended in "space". Balletbuddy was desperate to see a shark & very pleased when she did. As always, Katie loved seeing the Rays. Having ginormous ones swimming above her head repeatedly in the tunnel was a highlight for her, I think. The two of them enjoyed the machine for creating a current round the model earth- which happened to be in a calm, quiet room with peaceful water noises and dim lights. Balletbaby went to sleep in the wrap!
Unfortunately our departure was right at rush hour so it took us forever to get back. It did mean they all three troughed their tea really well but it also meant they didn't have a long play and that annoyed them! Katie was very excited to play her clarinet to balletbuddy as she's never heard her.
When they had gone, Katie and I decided it was time to start Harry Potter together. We were probably equally excited!
